You can change location permissions at any time through your browser, device, or app settings.

How We Use Information

Jason Nappi Weather may use information to:

• Provide forecasts, radar, alerts, weather data, and location-based features
• Remember selected locations and user preferences
• Operate and maintain the website and mobile app
• Respond to support requests, questions, feedback, media inquiries, and business inquiries
• Create and manage premium membership accounts

• Send account, payment, security, and other service-related notices
• Send forecast updates or promotional email only when a user has requested or agreed to receive them

Jason Nappi Weather does not use precise location information to send advertising.

Data Retention

Jason Nappi Weather retains personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide services, respond to requests, maintain business and subscription records, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and protect the website and app.

Contact and support submissions may be retained while a request is being handled and for a reasonable period afterward. Membership and transaction records may be retained while an account is active and afterward when required for accounting, tax, fraud-prevention, or legal purposes.

Selected forecast locations, favorite locations, and certain preferences stored locally on a user’s device remain there until the user removes them, clears browser or app data, or uninstalls the app.

Third-party service providers may retain information according to their own privacy policies and legal obligations.

Users may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information by emailing hello@jasonnappi.com. Certain information may be retained when required by law or for legitimate security, accounting, or dispute-resolution purposes.

Premium Memberships and Payments

Jason Nappi Weather offers optional premium memberships that provide access to regional forecasts, marine forecasts, forecast videos, storm analysis, Nappi’s Notes, and other premium content.

Premium accounts are managed through MemberPress. When creating an account, users may be asked to provide a name, username, email address, password, and other information needed to manage membership access.

Subscription payments are processed securely by Stripe. Stripe may collect payment-card, billing, device, fraud-prevention, and transaction information according to its own privacy policy.

Jason Nappi Weather does not directly receive or store complete payment-card numbers or card security codes. We may receive limited transaction information from Stripe, such as payment status, subscription status, transaction identifiers, card type, and the final digits of a payment card, when needed to manage an account, provide support, issue a refund, or maintain business records.

Users may manage or cancel a premium subscription through their account when that option is available or by contacting hello@jasonnappi.com. Cancellation stops future renewals but does not automatically delete records that must be retained for accounting, fraud-prevention, dispute-resolution, or legal purposes.

Third-Party Services and Embedded Content

Jason Nappi Weather uses service providers to operate the website, mobile app, premium memberships, payments, forms, security features, analytics, weather tools, and embedded content.

These providers may include:

• Automattic, WordPress.com, and Jetpack for website hosting, forms, user accounts, email delivery, analytics, cookies, security, and related website features
• MemberPress for premium account access and subscription management
• Stripe for secure subscription and payment processing
• Cloudflare Turnstile for spam, bot, fraud, and abuse prevention on protected forms
• Apple App Store and Google Play for app distribution and related platform services
• National Weather Service, NOAA, EPA AirNow, Environment and Climate Change Canada, and the Applied Climate Information System for forecasts, alerts, environmental information, climate information, and other official weather data
• Baron Weather for interactive radar
• Google services, including Google Maps and Google Pollen, when those features are enabled or viewed
• YouTube and VideoPress for forecast videos and other embedded media
• Windy and other linked weather resources when users choose to open those external services

When third-party content or an embedded feature is loaded, the provider may receive technical information such as an Internet Protocol address, browser or device information, the referring page, cookies, approximate location, selected geographic coordinates, and information about interactions with that feature.

Cloudflare Turnstile may process browser, device, and interaction signals to determine whether a form submission is being made by a person rather than an automated system.

Weather-data providers may receive a selected location or geographic coordinates when needed to return location-specific information. Jason Nappi Weather does not provide these weather-data services with contact-form messages, membership passwords, or complete payment-card information.

Third-party services process information according to their own privacy policies and security practices. Users should review those policies when they interact with an embedded service or follow an external link.

Advertising and Sponsor Links

Jason Nappi Weather may include local sponsor messages, community sponsor listings, or links to third-party businesses.

If you click a sponsor or external link, you may leave Jason Nappi Weather and visit a third-party website. We are not responsible for the privacy practices, content, or policies of third-party websites.

Users can block or delete cookies and browser storage through browser or device settings. Blocking essential cookies or storage may prevent certain features from working correctly, including premium login, saved locations, forms, and preferences.

Cookies and browser storage are not used by Jason Nappi Weather to store complete payment-card numbers.

Push Notifications

The Jason Nappi Weather app may offer push notifications for weather alerts, forecast updates, storm coverage, or important app information.

You can turn push notifications on or off at any time through your device settings.

Data Sharing

Jason Nappi Weather does not sell or rent personal information.

• Service providers: Information may be provided to companies that help operate the website, app, memberships, payments, forms, email, analytics, security, weather features, and customer support. These providers receive only the information reasonably necessary to perform their services.
• User-requested features: A selected location or geographic coordinates may be processed by weather, radar, map, or environmental-data providers when needed to deliver a requested feature.
• Legal and safety reasons: Information may be disclosed when reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to a valid legal request, investigate fraud or abuse, enforce site policies, protect legal rights, or address a safety or security concern.

Contact-form messages, membership passwords, complete payment-card information, and precise device location are not shared with sponsors for their independent marketing without the user’s permission.

• Unsubscribe from promotional email using the unsubscribe link included in the message

• Update available premium account information
• Cancel a premium subscription to stop future renewals
• Request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information maintained by Jason Nappi Weather

Jason Nappi Weather may need to verify the requester’s identity before providing, correcting, or deleting account-related information. We will never ask for an account password or complete payment-card number to verify a privacy request.

Requests will be handled within the period required by applicable law. Some information may be retained when reasonably necessary for legal compliance, accounting, fraud prevention, security, dispute resolution, or enforcement of agreements.

Deleting information maintained by Jason Nappi Weather may not delete information independently maintained by service providers such as Stripe, Apple, Google, Automattic, or another third-party service. Users may need to contact those providers directly regarding information controlled by them.

Jason Nappi Weather will not discriminate against a user for making a good-faith privacy request.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

Jason Nappi Weather may update this Privacy Policy when website or app features, service providers, or privacy practices change.
