Major Flooding

Posted by wxgeek on February 13, 2008

The NAM is verifying! Oh My God! Wow! This is incredible. All of the 5 boroughs of NYC are under a Flash Flood Warning. Incredible amounts of water are surging up from the gulf of mexico. The WV looks like a christmas tree. Worst part is, when that heavy rain makes it’s way NE it’s going to hit a deep snowpack. I am predicting significant flooding for parts of New England tonight as the second low moves NE. 3-5 inches of rain. Not to mention the ice storm that is still occuring for the lakes region and north. This is more significant than last year’s V-Day Nor’easter b/c that was almost all snow. This is a much bigger impact storm. Power outages likely. and Flooding imminent.
