First official full day of Summer
Posted by Jason Nappi on June 21, 2008
Astronomicaly speaking, summer starts today, instead of 7:59 p.m. last night. Primarily because how can you have the first full day of summer at night?
Anyway, summertime weather has been with us since the start of meteorological summer on the first of this month. So no one should be surprised to see summertime thunderstorms continue the rest of the weekend and next week. Don’t cancel your plans. No all day washouts expected.

Heat and Humidity for everyone…
Posted by Jason Nappi on June 8, 2008
Today will be the day that almost everyone (except for the midcoast and downeast Maine) will see high heat and humidity. Not even coastal locations will stay out of the 80′s and 90′s today. Stay in the shade if possible. Limit outdoor exposure in the sun to less than a half an hour. Don’t forget to reapply sunscreen numerous times (every half hour).
